Urban Oasis

Concept

The Urban Oasis project was conceived as a vertical village, aiming to bring a sense of community and nature into a dense urban environment. The design integrates private living with shared green terraces, a rooftop garden, and communal facilities, fostering interaction among residents.

Challenges

The primary challenge was maximizing green space on a limited urban plot while adhering to strict zoning regulations. Ensuring natural light and ventilation for all units, despite the high-density design, was also a critical consideration.

Solution

We employed a terraced design with staggered balconies, creating a dynamic facade and allowing for private gardens for many units. A central atrium and light wells were incorporated to channel daylight deep into the building. The rooftop features a communal farm and recreational area, serving as the building's social heart.
